Legion Guide

Overview

The Legion System strengthens your characters by providing bonus stats that can be obtained through leveling characters on your account in the same world. This guide will help you build your legion from Nameless Legion I to Legendary Legion V.

The Legion will provide bonus stats as you reach higher total legion levels and through the Synergy Grid. The Synergy Grid allows you to place blocks representing your characters onto regions of a grid with different stat bonuses so that you can choose what bonuses you want in each preset grid. The blocks will also change their size and shape as your characters increase in level, allowing you to cover more of the grid. Additionally, more of the grid will unlock as the tier of your Legion increases from Nameless to Legendary.

Check out this document for an explanation of the Legion System.

Leveling Alts

So how can a new player level so many characters? It will take some patience, but we have some tips to simplify the process. First of all, you should ALWAYS make the newest character released when there is an associated event. The extra rewards for leveling will make it much easier to equip the new character and the burning event will allow you to gain levels with less time/exp. In addition, you should always try to log on to claim the extra character slot coupons, usually 1 or 2, so you can expand your character slots without spending crystals or meso.

There are two paths to creating new alts. One depends on leveling them without funding and the other with funding.

No Funding

To level alts without funding, you need to complete story exploration and quest as much as possible for them to get through the first 60 levels. Then, it’s all about auto-battling at the highest SF field you can survive in.

Minimal Funding

To level alts with minimal funding, buy a unique weapon, a unique outfit and epic for the rest (can go for unique if epic belt/cape/shoulders cost too much). Enhance everything to 12SF. This will give 8x12SF = 96SF, allowing your character to leech to level 100 at SF90 within 30 minutes. After that, autobattle for a few hours to hit level 120.

More Funding

With more funding, you can choose how much SF to give your alts. If your goal is to hit level 150 in a timely manner for the upgraded legion block, then you need at least 130SF to AB at SF130. You will need 15-16SF per gear with 7SF from an epic secondary weapon. Most classes will require at least legendary weapon and overall. Enhance a random unique weapon/overall to SF18 and fuse to SF17. Keep the rest at SF15-16 unique rank unless you have trouble surviving.

Even more funding will be required for higher levels. If you’re in this situation, it is best to at least reach SF144/147 if not SF168/180. Check out our Gear Progression guide for how you can achieve this with reasonable time and funding.

Nameless Legion (0-1299)

Legion unlocks at level 60 for each character. At this point, your character will gain bonus effects that you have accumulated in your legion. The first tier of legion is the fastest to progress through. Your goal is to create as many characters as you have slots for. However, they should not be random as different characters offer different link skills. Check out our Link Skills page to see what is recommended.

In general, it is best to start with characters that provide EXP % Increase link skills. By order of importance: Mercedes > Resistance characters (Battle Mage, Wild Hunter, Mechanic, Blaster) > Explorer Mages (Bishop, ILM, FPM). The goal is to go through this list and level each character to level 120 for their level 2 link skills. Check above to see how you can reach level 120 within 1-2 days with minimal funding. You should have either 8 or 9 characters > level 120 after creating these depending on whether your main is in this list. These characters will help you greatly in leveling your main character.

If you have funds to buy extra character slots, create 1-2 characters with high mobbing potential such as Luminous or the movement skill “Rope” such as Angelic Buster or Kaiser. Dual Blade is also a great choice for its survivability and horizontal movement. They will be helpful for leveling more rapidly and/or collecting more meso.

Tips: Create a guild for your alts so they can receive Check-In bonuses for daily missions and the Guild EXP Increase skill when leveling. Also, remember to complete Mu Lung Dojo everyday and The Legends Return every week for EXP Increase necklaces and medals.

Renowned Legion (1300-2699)

By the time you have reached Renowned legion, you should have 9-11 characters on your account if you followed the previous part. Although not strictly necessary, it is still helpful to continue making alts that would benefit your main with their link skills. To see which link skills are most beneficial, check out our Link Skills guide. We recommend Sia, Xenon, Explorer Pirates, then either Explorer Thieves if you are playing a PHY DMG main or Lumi/AB if MAG DMG main. Cygnus Knights will also be great as they increase fever duration.

In this stage, you will find that character slots are the limiting factor. If you want to progress to the next Legion stage, you will have to start funding your characters to AB at higher SF fields. The goal is for your characters to hit level 150. To do this efficiently, you should AB at SF130/133.

If you have time, try to complete Boss Expeditions on as many characters as possible for the Boss Accessories Set. In addition, after reaching level 150, you should complete at least 2/6 or 4/6 daily missions. From least time consuming to most time consuming: Guild Check-in > Daily Dungeon/Expedition > ED > Evolution/Dimension Invasion > Kill 1000 mobs in SF.

A great source of EXP for level 140-160 characters are Daily Quests that ask you to kill monsters or collect items. If you have time and teleportation stones, you can start doing these at level 140. Otherwise, start at level 150 as your leveling slows down and the maps will not be as far from the quest giving NPC.

Heroic Legion (2700-4199)

Players can progress in the Heroic Legion stage by following the same steps for the two prior legion. At this point, your main character will have link skills for all 12 link skill slots. As you obtain more character slots, consider boosting them directly to level 150 by funding them with gear for SF130/133-144/147. This will allow you to focus on one to two characters at a time so you can efficiently use the free pets and % EXP Increase title rewarded by Growth missions.

Legendary Legion (4200-6600+)

To reap all the benefits from legion, you will need to level characters to level 200. This requires you to take advantage of multiple sources of EXP and significant funding. The main sources of EXP are: auto-battle, daily missions, Edge of Space and Monster Park.

Prepare each character for the level 200 journey by creating a level 30 mythic weapon, unique secondary, legendary outfit (preferably EVD) and 7 set boss equipment.

If you want to reach level 200 on your alts with minimal funding, but have a lot of time for actively playing the game every day, click here for a guide by Vaied (NA Inosys) that explains the process.
