Meso Making Guide

Early Game Methods

Auto-battle

The most passive way to make meso in MSM is to auto-battle, using as many characters you have, for as long as possible. Check out our meso rates guide to see the most lucrative maps to AB on.

Elite Dungeon

Elite Dungeon (ED) rewards equipment leveling powders upon completion. The primary way to make a significant amount of meso is to run EDs on as many alts as possible to generate powders. Use these powders to level up epic rank equipment (also obtained in ED) and fuse them to unique rank. Fusion has a 1-5% chance of producing equipment with emblems. These emblemed equipment can be sold for 400m-3b depending on the emblem and whether the equipment is Best in Slot (BiS). Currently, the most desired items are Critical Damage or Boss Attack Emblems on BiS.

In addition to fusing for emblems, which is high risk, you can also level unique or legendary equipment to max level to sell. This is especially lucrative right before and after new characters are released. Max leveled equipment is often used by experienced players to level up mythic rank and higher equipment (powder is non-tradeable and leveling higher rank equipment can take months). Max level equipment may also be used as fodder for fusing equipment to higher ranks. This method offers a steady stream of income with very little risk if you understand how much it costs to make these equipment.

Leveling and fusing equipment costs meso. Here are some estimates of how much meso it will take to create each piece of equipment using unique powder, assuming you are fusing up from the free epic rank that you obtain from ED:

Weapon:

  • Level 1 unique – 3 mil
  • Max unique – 8 mil
  • Level 1 legendary – 56 mil
  • Max legendary – 71 mil
  • Level 1 mythic – 206 mil

Armor:

  • Level 1 unique – 3 mil
  • Max unique – 7 mil
  • Level 1 legendary – 53 mil
  • Max legendary – 65 mil
  • Level 1 mythic – 193 mil

Level-up cost reduction coupons may be used to reduce the cost of making these equipment. Furthermore, keep in mind that the Trade Station takes 10% of the price you list for each item. For example, if you make a level 1 unique with 3mil meso and you sell it for 3mil meso, you will actually lose 300k meso due to the 10% tax. To see how much market rates are for different equipment, check out our guide on the Trade Station.

Enhancement

A more risky way to make meso is to enhance equipment and sell the enhanced equipment. Since enhancements are dependent on luck, it’s possible to lose meso, but also possible to make a great profit. This method is especially lucrative when new characters are announced. Enhance armor corresponding to the new class to SF17-19 at unique and sell or fuse up to higher ranks to sell. Make sure to take a look at the enhancement cost averages table to make sure you are not undervaluing the gear.

Additionally, you can create 22SF Mythic rank gear using free login and event enhancement shield scrolls. Players with multiple characters that can do Chaos Daily Dungeon (CDD) can utilize 22SF Mythic rank gear to create 21SF Ancient rank gear for Radiant Exalt Stones. Even if you cannot farm CDD, you can still sell 22SF Mythics to end game players for a great profit.

Tip: Enhancement scrolls are obtainable from event shop, Kerning Tower shop and events.

End Game Methods

Nodestones

There are many ways to make meso as an experienced player. Once you get to lvl200, you will be able to enter the Arcane River and obtain nodestones, which give 5th job skills and skill boosts. They are only dropped by monsters in the Arcane River and you can sell them on the Trade Station. This is especially helpful if you have level 200 alt characters that can farm AF30/60 with minimal funding. Vacuum pets will greatly increase the rate of nodestones picked up. Expect to sell each for tens of millions.

Exalt Fodders

Once you have made enough progress on your gears, you may consider making Radiant Exalt Stone and Exalt reduction materials. To make Radiant Exalt Stones, you will need Ancient rank equipment. Check out the Exaltation page for more information. The most profitable Radiant Stone fodders are the Ancient rank gear with 21 starforce for 20% success stones. You can also consider making Exalt reduction fodders. They are slightly less profitable than Radiant Stone fodders, but they are easier to make. To make Exalt reduction material, enhance unique equipment to SF17/18 and fuse until legendary or mythic.

Chaos Root Abyss

Weekly Chaos Root Abyss (CRA) bosses reward items that can be exchanged for Fanfir equipment in the Root Abyss shop. It takes 12 weeks to trade for each piece of equipment (basically, 1 drop per boss per week, 12 drops for 1 gear, 4 bosses = 4 gears). You can sell them for 1-2b meso each on the Trade Station. Since they are not tradeable when bought, you will need Platinum Scissors of Karma (purchasable from Cash Shop). Keep in mind that CRA bosses are more difficult than expeditions and fighting against them require teamwork or higher stats. If you can’t deal good amount of damage, consider joining a guild that runs CRA bosses weekly.
